What it does: MT Power Drum Kit 2 is the fastest, easiest way to get high-quality drums out of a free VST. It includes a huge library of high-quality drum samples and tons of MIDI grooves and fills that you can arrange however you like to quickly lay down a drum track. It’s sampled from the excellent 1960s Ludwig Oyster Blue Pearl Drum Kit and has an unholy amount of amazing sounding samples. Unfortunately the kit only works with Reaper software but you can still download and use the almost 2 GB of drum samples in software of your choice. Surge is an opensource Synth VST that sounds fantastic and is probably the best synthesizer plugin currently available. It is a hybrid subtractive synthesizer with a dual synthesis engine. Each patch contain two ‘scenes’ which are separate instances of the entire synthesis engine that can be used for layering or split patches.
